There’s a new eatery in town, and after what we experienced the other day, we can definitely vouch for all of the simple deliciousness that they are serving. I was was hungry, Hurricane Florence was in the air, and I was looking for a brunch spot. The Continental Lounge is a new restaurant in downtown Asheville, we found out that they were open until 2:30, so we headed that way. Great choice! They have table service, but first you have to walk right up to the register counter, order & pay for what you initially want, find a seat; and then if you want something else, they will come to your table ring you up on their little handheld devices. We ordered a couple of Margarita slushies, and this yummy food. As usual, I pulled out my camera and took a few photos for social media, and to show you how good it was. Now you have to go, taste it, and prove me right!
Chicken Biscuit with home fries at the Continental Lounge in Downtown Asheville.
Biscuits & Gravy, a classic, perfectly made!
This was the Blue Plate Special, Stuffed Savoy, filled with pork & beef, and so delish!
This was the Fried Chicken plate, and their tried & true recipe is so good. Try this!
This was the Key Lime Pie, not too sweet, and the perfect end to a fantastic brunch experience. You can visit the Continental Lounge website to see their full menu.
