Food Photos: The Amazingly Delicious Market Place Restaurant in Downtown Asheville

Salad at Market Place Restaurant Asheville NC

“…that was the best salad I ever had in my life!” were the exact words that came out of her mouth. And after I tasted it, I knew why. Chef William Dissen took over this fabulous restaurant many years ago, and brought it to the next level with his team. I recently bumped into him at the Newark Airport while I was heading into NYC, and he was heading to the World Food Summit in Copenhagen. Food is his life, and anyone that has spent any amount of time with the Chef, knows his passion for good and healthy foods.

This is one of the restaurants where I make sure that I get the macaroni and cheese. Maybe the best I have ever had, or one of the top at least. Anyway, simple perfection!

Italian food has a lot of meanings, and around Asheville, you will find several types of Italian eats. Now I’m not talking about the spots around town that serve mostly traditional Italian food; and others like Table, Jargon, and Rezaz that sometimes feature Italian inspired dishes. But I am talking about the ones that focus solely on Italian cuisine, and do it so well. So here are four Asheville area restaurants that you must try for an amazing Italian cuisine experience:

1. Modesto – this delicious restaurant is located in downtown Asheville, in the Grove Arcade building. Click the Facebook icon below to see the full post:

Delicious Food Photography featuring Cucina 24 in Asheville NC

I was taking some b-roll video footage for a few projects the other day, and I got hungry. On top of that, I had my two daughters with me, and we wanted to eat somewhere really nice. We ended up on Wall Street in downtown Asheville, and stopped by the Cucina 24 Italian Cuisine Restaurant, and had such an incredible dining experience. Let me tell you about it.

We were sat in the back room, and the waiter approached our table. He shared a menu with us, and then told me that if I trust him, he will bring me a chef’s table meal, with a bunch of plates from the kitchen, and that it is one-of-a-kind. I was like… “yes, I definitely want that!” And the plates started coming out like clockwork. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even get the names of some of the plates, but I did get photos. You are welcome.
