SXSW is divided up into 3 parts. Interactive, Film, and Music. It is one of the grandest events of the year, no doubt at all. Companies from all over the globe come to Austin Texas for South by Southwest.
This year (2012) Asheville North Carolina is going to SXSW to show tech companies and start-ups just how cool it is to be an Ashevillian. The quality of life here is beyond compare when looking for outdoors, diversity, arts, music, entertainment, food, and not to mention… we are BEER CITY USA! We need more jobs in the area. Companies that want to dip into the enormous talent pool of Asheville & Western North Carolina.
In addition to that, a representative of Asheville based Spark Tech Talk will be on the SXSW floor, making connections and gathering media. SparkTT also has a conference call to podcast planned featuring SXSW as the topic.

Great that this is happening. There are actually now five components of SXSW — they have a new Eco conference and are in the second year of SXSWedu, which I am just wrapping up. Would love to stay but have to get back to AVL — but I’d like to be in touch with those folks who come out to represent AVL.
